Looking for an easy and CHEAP way to keep your dogs cool this summer. Try homemade “Frosty Paws” style treats. You only need 4 ingredients and dogs love them! If your dog can not have dairy there are many variations using chicken broth. Here is a quick and easy recipe your dogs will enjoy!
The Basic Frosty Paws Recipe
32 oz. plain yogurt
1 mashed ripe banana
2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons honey
Mix all of the ingredients with a blender or mixer and freeze in ice cube trays. Small paper cups and disposable egg cartons also make good molds. When frozen, microwave for a few seconds, unmold, and place the treats in a plastic bag and store in the freezer. (Note: if using Styrofoam egg cartons or cups, rest the containers briefly in a partially filled pan of warm water to loosen contents. Unless the Styrofoam is labeled as microwave safe, it could melt.) If you want to be fancy, bone and paw shaped molds are available. Bone appetit!
I’ll make some right now. I may even have a bit.

Such a good idea! My puppies would love this! I think I’ll try it out, and maybe even blog about it if it’s a success…I’ll be sure to link your page as the source of the treats!
